TANTRUMS

My two year old son Ythan has been throwing tantrums for some time now. Everytime his demands are not met, he will cry out loud and will try to punch and bite anyone around him. It is so annoying! How do I deal with it? I just lock him up inside the room and let him cry until he calms down. So far it works.

ADDICTION

I’m really an internet addict. I can sit in front of the computer all day surfing the net. I love exploring the world wide web and learn new things. I love reading other people’s blog and anything that I find interesting.

I’m really desperate to lose weight.  I’ve been starving myself for a week now.  No rice na naman ako since June 10.  I woke up 5:30 in the morning to do my morning walk for about 30 minutes.  I eat 5 tablespoons of oatmeal sa umaga.  Tapos lots and lots of water lang after.  Then kapag lunch time, minsan singkamas lang kinakain ko.  Or banana.  Or sabaw ng malunggay.  Then plenty of water ulit. Pero naiinis ako kase I only lost 2 pounds in 1 week!!!

NSO

I wen to NSO CDO branch last week to get a copy of our birth certificates and marriage contract.  I will be renewing my passport na and I will also get one for my children. I was not able to go out of the country pa talaga.  Hahay… Anyways, I was really impressed sa system ng NSO CDO branch.  Within 1 hour, nakuha ko na yung documents na kailangan ko in security paper.  Unlike sa ibang government agency na you have to wait for how many hours bago matapos yung transaction mo.

He makes sure na tama talaga yung mga informations na nakasulat to avoid any delays.  Kapag tama lahat, he will then give you a priority number.  When your number is called, give your form sa verification window to check if they have a copy of the documents you’re requesting sa system nila.  Then they will advise you to proceed sa payment window (P140 per copy for security paper).  And then, hintayin mo na lang na tawagin ka ng in-charge sa releasing window.   Ganun ka simple.

Happy Father’s Day!!!

There is very little I know of my dad. He’s name is Manuel Lim Velez. He was born on April 27, 19??. I’m not sure about the year. Basta when he died last 1999, he was 60 or 61 years old. I’m not even sure how many siblings he has. 5 or 7 I guess. I only knew 3 of them, some by face and some by name.

Sa pagkaka-alam ko, he fathered 14 children to 5 different women. Kilala naming lahat ang isa’t isa. Andami namin noh? 8 girls and 6 boys. We’re the third family. And because of so many families, my father hardly spent so much time on us. He is a good provider though, financially. He is a well known businessman in Davao’s Chinatown. I even knew some of his business friends.

My father projects a very strong image. Kaya takot kaming magkakapatid sa kanya. Whenever he comes home, nagtatago kami lahat sa kwarto pretending to be asleep. He is a very serious, intelligent, & deep person. I was only in high school then. Bawal manood ng tv lalo na kapag about love. Wala raw kwenta. He is referring sa mga teleserye. There was a point nga na nainis talaga ako sa kanya kase parang he doesn’t want us to enjoy our life, our youth.

Pero ngayon ko lang na realize what he was trying to do. He was training us. He was teaching us how to run a business. He was teaching us about life in a different approach.

I miss you papa. I LOVE YOU! I appreciate you now more than ever. Kahit konti lang yung memories namin sayo, it was worth a lifetime to remember.

P.S. My father is very good looking kaya no wonder maraming na-inlove sa kanya. (Kita naman sa lahi namin diba? Hehe)

TAKOYAKI

Have you tried takoyaki?  I tasted my first takoyaki when I was still in high school.  A kiosk inside Victoria Plaza food court was the first one to offer this kind of food in Davao City (correct me if I’m wrong).  As I remember, Php 17.00 for 3 pieces yung price niya. Then after a year, napansin ko may ibang stores na ng takoyaki sa Davao.  I tried some of them pero parang iba na ang lasa.  Medyo maliit na rin yung servings.  I don’t know kung andun pa rin sa Victoria Plaza Food Court yung original takoyaki store.  Sana andun pa, para pag nasa Davao ako, I will surely buy some.  I miss takoyaki!!!

Takoyaki are known as octopus balls.

My first project was JUMANJI.  It took me almost two hours to rip the movie then another 1 hour to convert.  For IPOD Classic yung format ko pero I transferred the converted file to PSP.  Wala pa kase akong iPod.  But I’m planning to buy one this year.

I ask around then I experiment.  Minsan, hindi ko makuha.  Pero after further experimentation, natututunan ko rin.

CONCLUSION:  WE SHOULD NEVER STOP LEARNING and EXPLORING.
